1. Product Overview

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element is a specialized filtration solution designed for oil-water separation

applications – including natural gas filtration, kerosene pipeline filtration, and various industrial oil-water separation systems.

This advanced filter element assembly contains two complementary filter types: the coalescer filter element and the separation

filter element – working in sequence to deliver efficient, reliable oil-water separation and solid particle removal.

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element is engineered to remove both solid contaminants and entrained water from

hydrocarbon fluids, ensuring clean, dry output that meets the stringent quality requirements of modern industrial processes.

Whether used in natural gas processing, aviation fuel systems, or hydraulic oil purification, this filter element delivers

consistent performance, extended service life, and reliable contaminant control.

As a professional manufacturer specializing in import substitution filter consumables (not an authorized brand distributor),

we deliver Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element with stable performance, significantly shorter delivery cycles,

and substantially lower procurement costs for industrial facilities worldwide.

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element is designed for two-stage separation – utilizing a coalescer element to merge fine

water droplets into larger beads, followed by a separation element that repels water while allowing clean oil to pass through.

3. Working Principle & Filtration Process

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element operates through a carefully engineered two-stage separation process:

Stage 1: Coalescence – Water Droplet Growth

Oil enters the coalescer separator through the inlet pipe, flowing into the lower portion of the filter housing. The fluid then

passes from outside to inside through the coalescer filter element, which performs two critical functions:

· Solid particle filtration: Coarse contaminant particles are immediately precipitated and can be discharged via the drain valve.

Smaller particles are intercepted by the filter media.

· Water droplet coalescence: Extremely fine water droplets (typically <5μm) are captured by the hydrophilic coalescer media

and merged into larger water beads. These enlarged droplets – now large enough to overcome surface tension – separate from

the oil by gravity and settle into the collection tank.

Stage 2: Separation – Water Repulsion & Removal

The oil, now largely free of free water, flows through the separation filter element. This element features hydrophobic

(water-repelling) material that:

· Allows oil to pass through smoothly and efficiently

· Blocks and repels any remaining free water droplets

· Directs trapped water to flow downward into the precipitation tank

· Is discharged through the pollution valve / drain port

Final Output

Clean, dehydrated oil is collected by the filter element tray and flows out of the coalescence separator through the outlet

pipe – ready for return to the system or for downstream processing.

Maintenance Indicator

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element requires monitoring of differential pressure. As trapped contaminants accumulate

on the coalescer element, the pressure differential increases. When ΔP reaches 0.15 MPa, it indicates that the coalescer filter

element is blocked and should be replaced – ensuring continued separation efficiency and preventing bypass.

4. Product Characteristics & Performance Advantages

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element delivers superior performance through the following key advantages:

· Two-Stage Separation Technology: Combines coalescer and separator elements in a single assembly – delivering

comprehensive oil-water separation and solid particle removal

· High-Efficiency Coalescence: Advanced hydrophilic glass fiber media captures and merges fine water droplets (<5μm) into

large beads that settle rapidly by gravity

· Superior Hydrophobic Separation: Separation element material effectively repels water while allowing oil to pass – achieving

outlet water content as low as 15–30 ppm

· High Solid Contaminant Removal: Filtration accuracy of 5–8μm effectively removes metal particles, rust, and other solid

contaminants – protecting downstream equipment

· Robust Construction: High-temperature resistant materials with maximum operating temperature of 100°C and pressure

 differential rating of 19 MPa

· Easy Monitoring & Maintenance: Clear replacement indicator at ΔP 0.15 MPa – simplifying maintenance scheduling and

preventing performance degradation

Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element offers equivalent performance to genuine coalescence separator elements at

40%–60% lower cost – making it an ideal choice for cost-conscious maintenance programs without compromising separation

efficiency or system protection.

6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the difference between the coalescer element and the separation element in the Aite Coalescence Separation Filter

 Element?

A: The coalescer element uses hydrophilic media to capture and merge fine water droplets into larger beads, while the

separation element uses hydrophobic material to repel remaining water and allow only clean oil to pass – working together for

 complete oil-water separation.

Q2: What filtration accuracy does the Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element provide?

A: Aite Coalescence Separation Filter Element provides filtration accuracy of 5–8μm for solid particle removal, while the

coalescence process removes water droplets down to sub-micron sizes – delivering outlet water content as low as 15–30 ppm.
